Mezzo D-9 Test
The Stylish Mezzo was designed by Formula One designer turned bike inventor, Jon Whyte, and it’s easy to see the F1-style attention to detail that’s gone into this product. For example, there’s deliberately no folding hinge on the main frame to give it maximum strength and the steering post sticks out at a right angle, making it that bit more responsive. The brilliantly simple self-locking catches save time and effort when folding (you don’t have to unwind and wind to tighten them as you do with standard quick release catches).Like Brompton, both wheels flick back, staying tucked neatly together so the bike becomes compact. Little wheels on the rack allow it to be pulled along smoothly. The only issue is the price – but then F1 engineering doesn’t come cheap,A cool, lean, mean cycling machine.
